Lora Bay pro takes new position

Nate Clingersmith is leaving the Golf Club at Lora Bay after 10 years as Head Golf Professional to take a position as Director of Golf at a new indoor golf facility in Collingwood.

His last day at Lora Bay is Dec. 13.

The indoor golf facility, called The Golf Club, is currently under construction and scheduled to open early in the New Year. Click here for more info on facility.

This new venture will provide golfers with year round recreational play, professional instruction, custom club fitting for the newest equipment technologies and corporate events for our growing economy,” Clingersmith states in an email announcing his new position.

“While the decision of resigning my position at Lora Bay was not an easy one, I am excited for what this new opportunity brings for myself and to our area.”

“It is hard to believe that I have been with Lora Bay for all ten seasons under the current ownership. I came to Lora Bay at a time when the golf course and community were in a state of transition and was given the opportunity to showcase what a great golf course and community Lora Bay has.”

Taking over for Clingersmith at Lora Bay is Steve Moore, who has been an associate professional there for the past four years.
