Playing in cold and rainy conditions, Hanover native Rachael Rier shot rounds of 82-89 and finished tied for 44th at the GVSU Gilda’s Club Laker Invite tournament in Allendale, Michigan.
Rachael’s Davenport University women’s golf team finished 7th in event with a total score of 667 strokes.
The team was 4th among teams from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
The event was won by the University of Indianapolis with a two-day total of 610.
Finishing second at the Sept. 29-30 event was the host team from Grand Valley State University.
Rier is a second-year Sports Management Major student at Davenport, a Division II school in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
