Sophomore Rachael Rier of Hanover, Ontario shot her best two rounds of collegiate golf and helped her Davenport University team to a fourth-place finish at the first tournament of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference fall season.
She carded rounds of 79-82 and was second on her team at the SVSU Fall Invitational in Bay City, Michigan.
Her teammate, Hannah Meloche - a freshman from Windsor, Ontario - was the individual champ. She shot two rounds of 73, finishing with a +2 total and setting a Davenport program record in the process.
The team also set a 36-hole scoring record with a 633 total.
Davenport University is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
