With a strong final-round of even-par 72, Emily Zhu of National Pines Golf Club near Barrie finished tied for 5th at the Ontario Junior (Under 19) Girls Championship.
On the day, she matched the score of tournament winner Jasmine Ly of Kingsville Golf and Country Club, who went 72-70-74-72 to claim the title.
Zhu’s first three rounds were 76-74-75 and she finished with a +9 total - nine shots back of Ly.
The other two BruceGreySimcoe golfers - Grace Holjak of Barrie Country Club (97-85) and Maggie Jennings-Campbell of Tangle Creek Golf and Country Club (88-85) - missed the cut.
The tournament was played at Maple City Country Club in Chatham.
