Hawk Ridge Golf Club opened in 1991 and has grown from an 18-hole Championship Course to 45 magnificent holes with now two 18-hole championship courses and an Executive Par 3. Situated on over 390 acres of abundant ponds, mature forests and bentgrass fairways, it is a lifestyle community that is second to none.
The Meadow course is a challenging yet playable Championship layout, crossing Silver Creek on 10 of 18 holes. The front 9 holes are blessed with generous bentgrass fairways, perfect for letting the driver out early as you’ll need it on this 7,008-yard course (you can play from as short as 5,128 yards). The back 9 holes wind their way through the mature forests, showcasing unique features – most notably the 10th /12th holes double green. In addition, The Meadow course features bentgrass from tee to green, 4 sets of Tee Decks, rolling fairways, numerous bunkers & no shortage of water hazards. Truly an enjoyable test of golf!
The Timber course layout is exceptionally challenging with undulating greens and beautiful scenery. The front 9 features include mature forests and tranquil ponds while the back 9 plays to the highest elevation through the estate lots of one of Orillia’s finest subdivisions. The Timber course offers a must-play experience for all golfers with 4 sets of Tee Decks & yardage ranging from 4,985 to 6,556.
In the summer of 2006, Hawk Ridge was pleased to open a new Executive Nine Hole Course called The Island. This new development is nestled south-east of the existing 36 holes, encompassing 90 acres in total. The Island course was designed by Ted Baker, who is well known for his work at Lionhead Golf & Country Club & most recently the new course at BraeBen. The course plays from 1,034 to 1,300 yards featuring two sets of sprawling Tee Decks complimented by large undulating greens. Future development proposed will include an extensive Adult Style Community abutting the golf course and surrounding area. There is no doubt this picturesque Nine Hole Executive Course layout will provide an experience that is challenging and enjoyable for golfers of all ages.
